There are four hotels that are a short walk to the historic Coliseum, the venue for Sunshine City Scare. Three are locally owned and one is part of the Marriott chain. All are within a 4-block walk of the Coliseum as well as footsteps away from the wide variety of restaurants, recreation and nightlife that vibrant downtown St. Petersburg has to offer.
The Hollander and The Avalon hotels, owned and operated by the same hoteliers, are located next to each other. The hotels are very close to the venue, only a half-block walk to the Coliseum.
The Hollander Hotel (top image) features The Tap Room Bar and Grill Restaurant, and Common Grounds coffee shop located in the lobby. In addition, Harmony Spa, a full service independently owned haven, is located on the grounds along with a beautiful pool equipped with a full liquor bar, food, and cabanas.
The Avalon (lower image) offers a South Beach Art Deco style that looks like a transplant from Collins Avenue. Staying at The Avalon provides access to all of the amenities at The Hollander.
The Courtyard by Marriott is a short 3-block walk to the Coliseum. The pet-friendly hotel offers healthy breakfast options as well as Starbucks® coffee at the Bistro.
The historic Cordova Inn, locally owned and operated, is a short 4-block walk to the Coliseum. The award-winning Cordova is a boutique hotel that offers modern amenities merged with historic ambiance. (Note that the Cordova Inn is not ADA accessible.)
