Sunshine City Scare 2023 schedule offers wide range of programming

Sunshine City Scare’s schedule features more than 20 hours of programming, which includes a wide range of activities like voice actor Q&As and contests as well as free themed photo shoots and back-to-back panels presented by horror, anime, makeup, and cosplay geeks and nerds. Saturday 3 pm – Cast of Chainsaw Man
Join voice actors Ryan Colt Levy (Denji), Lindsay Seidel (Pochita), and Landon McDonald (Future Devil) for a Q&A on what is arguably the most popular anime right now.
Sunday 1 pm – Video Game Horror with Resident Evil and BioShock
Join voice actors Stephanie Panisello (Claire Redfield) and Jodelle Ferland (Little Sister) for a Q&A on two of the most impactful video games of our time.
Saturday 11 am – Big Ideas Require Big Planning
Planning and building involved in larger-than-life cosplays.
Saturday noon – Posing in Cosplay
Tips followed by a short instructional workshop.
Sunday 2 pm – Horror Makeup and Cosplay
Learn the basics of horror makeup and cosplay from some experts.
Saturday 2 pm – Horror Feud
Teams compete in an evil version of the game show Family Feud that focuses on movies, anime, video games, books, and more nerdy genres.
Saturday 4 pm – Terrible Fanfiction Dramatic Reading Theater
Join in on acting out terrifyingly bad fanfiction across fandoms and genres in this heavy audience participation panel. 
Sunday noon – Cosplay Model Sketch
Come sketch a cosplay model in this interactive workshop.
 Sunday 3 pm – Photo shoot with Expert Horror Cosplayers
Interact with expert horror cosplayers and scare actors, and pose as a group in front of the spooky Banyan tree.
Saturday noon – Monster High: Generations and Discussions
Discussion and trivia about the difference in Monster High generations, including the good the bad and the not well received.
Saturday 2 pm – What is a Scare Actor?
Join a discussion led by scare actors on how they portray your worst nightmares.
Saturday 3 pm – Eerie Travels: Top 5 Scariest Places in Tampa Bay
A paranormal expert and author leads a discussion about the five scariest places in our region. 
Sunday 11 am – Winning Your First Award in Cosplay
Award-winning cosplayers discuss how to win your first cosplay contest award.
Sunday 1 pm – Monstorm: How Hurricane Ian Led to a New Horror Anthology
Hear from the horror writers who turned their experience in Hurricane Ian into an anthology of horror stories called Monstorm. 
Saturday 1 pm – Spooky K-pop rpd
Join in on fun K-pop songs with dark/fantasy concepts (ex. monster exo and red velvet)! 
Saturday noon – Peek-a-Boo, Let’s Dance!
Learn the peek-a-boo (red velvet) choreography, which is known it’s dark m/v.
Saturday – 11 am – TikTok Film Festival
This one-of-a-kind TikTok Film Festival celebrates the overlap between anime horror fans and TikTok users with $300 in cash prizes.
Saturday 4 pm – Craftsmanship Cosplay Contest
More than 50% of the cosplay must be handmade for this contest with $1,000 in cash prizes, plus cool medals.
Sunday 11 am – Lip Sync Competition
Join in on the sensational lip sync competition with $200 in cash prizes.
