2nd annual sunshine city scare set for may 11, 2024
1-day con will still honor Mother’s Day
The 2nd annual Sunshine City Scare is moving to a 1-day convention on Saturday, May 11, leaving Sunday, which is Mother’s Day, for family time. But don’t fret, Sunshine City Scare will still honor moms on Saturday with special activities, a photo space, and vendors that will provide the best Mother’s Day shopping in the universe.
Also, there will be two afterhours activities added. Friday night is a pub crawl in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg that will take fans to 7 outstanding bars, each with a drink special that requires an answer to a trivia question to unlock the discount. And Saturday night offers two activities- in one room is a DJ/dance party, and across the hall is an auditorium with live performances.
Lastly, the event will continue with big-name guests, cosplay contest, lip sync competition, TikTok film festival, and panels as well as add a scavenger hunt and several raffles with prizes like tickets to other conventions.
